Leo Rising, Saturn is now stirring up your 5th house and you have been learning lessons regarding how to express yourself in the world. You are learning to be more careful and thoughtful regarding interacting with the others in your life, especially romantic partners and children, both of whom are occupying a lot of your time lately. Though choosing words wisely is always a good thing, there is also a need for you to say what’s in your heart.
Responsibilities regarding children may feel burdensome and you could also find yourself struggling with how to share on a heart-felt level with your romantic partner. Though normally the 5th house is associated with fun and pleasures, Saturn is dampening down the lighter side of things right now. You might even feel blocked when it comes to creative self-expression.
This is also a good time for you to really work on your health. I say that because Saturn imposes lessons, burdens, delays and hard work and when that kind of energy attaches itself to the house normally lit up by bright Leo energy, health problems regarding the heart or circulation could result.
During the lunar eclipse of March 23, Saturn is forming a fulcrum point to your 2nd and 8th house axis. The 2nd house refers to the things you value in your life. Right now you have Jupiter and the North Node of the Moon securely anchored in your house of values, ready to give you blessings in your life. Since both of these features are retrograde, it’s a great time to review your life and be thankful for all of the many things you have enjoyed. It is a time to feel joyful and abundant, but to do so you will need to accept that lessons that Saturn is currently offering up since there is an exact square between Jupiter and Saturn during the eclipse.
So though there are many blessings, there are also lessons that need to be integrated and acted on as well. You are currently seeing the truth (Sagittarius) of your responsibilities (Saturn) regarding your lover or children. Do you need to make adjustments to the way you express yourself with them? Are you holding back saying things that need to be said? Is your value system undergoing change due to the Saturn square? What can you do in order to bring more fun into your life while still taking care of core responsibilities?
These are some of the questions that could be popping into your mind as your 2nd to 8th house teeter-totters on this Saturn fulcrum point. The sabian symbol message for this taskmaster planet is thus: The moment of pause which sustains and presages change. Alert readiness to act; or distress at not knowing what lies ahead.
Since you could be re-evaluating what is important to you right now (Saturn square Jupiter), you could be at that quiet, contemplative spot that precedes change. If you take the sabian symbol message to heart (and since you are a Leo Rising, I know you will!), get on the action side of the message. Take the necessary steps you must so the teeter-totter of your life falls in a favorable direction.
With the 8th house polarity point, where so many planets are currently residing, there are a lot of uncertainties. The 8th house rules big life issues such as life, birth, death, divorce, illnesses, inheritances, 401Ks, other people’s money and taxes as well as what you do behind closed doors with your lover. It is the most intimate, and sometimes scary, part of your chart for it rules transitions and transformations. With Neptune, Chiron, Venus, Ceres and the South Node of the Moon all packed into this private place, you could be facing a life-transforming situation and it would not be uncommon if you felt scared and/or wounded regarding what is taking place.
Fortunately, some of these same planets could also be conferring a loving, helping hand. With Venus and Neptune in Pisces, in your 8th house, there is very loving, selfless presence in your life. This could take the form of a lover or angels who are calling to you from the woodwork. Sometimes these angels are dear, close friends, a purring cat who has been a lifelong pal or a health-care worker who has your spiritual, and emotional, interests at heart.
Ceres is there to encourage you to take care of yourself and those who are closest to you, especially on an emotional level. If you are facing a cataclysmic divide in your life, now is the time to get around that Saturn square, open your heart and say the things you need to share with those who are closest to you. This is not a time to hold back…it is a time to act for this fulcrum point will eventually pass and it is better to take action than to worry, in distress, over what comes next.
This could also be a perfect time to get more in touch with yourself as a spiritual person. Along with all of the other things mentioned, the 8th house is a very spiritual place, a place where the veil between this world and the next becomes as thin and wispy as a gossamer curtain. Dreams or visions could reveal important information. Visualization exercises could also prove to be most helpful along a healing journey as well.
If you are facing a major life event, I would suggest reading books like “Into the Light” or other stories on near-death excursions. With Chiron in Pisces, there can be a tendency to feel separated from the Divine. Now might be a good time to heal that rift and near-death books are an amazing way to get a glimpse at “the other side.”
One of my sisters had a near-death experience and she said that dying was the best thing that ever happened to her, in her life! According to her, there is so much love in the afterlife that no matter what has befallen you on earth, it will all be healed the instant you show up in Heaven. I’ve gotta admit, that sounds pretty good, doesn’t it? And these words were not from a stranger, they were from my sister. For me, that packed weight.
Partnerships are likely to be important in this upcoming event as well for the full moon involved in this lunar eclipse is sitting at 3 degrees of Libra. This will light up either your value sector or your house of communications. Either way, it is a good time to get in touch with what is most important to you and share that with those you love. The message of the moon is: The dawn of a new day reveals everything changed. Periods of silence and darkness can be very transforming, leading to stirring revelations.
Whatever is stirring up your life, Leo Rising, now is the time to open your heart and share what’s inside with those you love. Saturn has been teaching you the way to more carefully express yourself so you can apply wisdom regarding sharing your thoughts and feelings with others.
For some of you, your life path could be getting reinvigorated as the Sun, Mercury and Uranus light up your 9th house in the fiery sign of Aries. Information (Mercury) could be forthcoming that will stir up (Uranus) the path you choose to take (Sun = your vital life energy).
Some of you could choose to take a trip to broaden your mind. Others may decide to explore “the road to God.” This could happen in a traditional sense or you could choose to expand your mind through meditation, kirtan, yoga or chanting. The idea is to rocket-fuel your journey (Aries) and to get excited about planting new seeds for the path that lies ahead.
