Though we may sometimes feel that “the Gods must be crazy,” we can learn to harness luck in our lives by working with Jupiter. That way, when coke bottles fall out of the sky, we know what to do with them! Jupiter, as a benefic planet, enables us to dream big, to explore reality outside of our normal boundaries and to have hope. It also inspires us to embody our highest selves and to work towards the betterment of society.
Since Sagittarius rules the lovely planet of rings, themes such as higher education, the courts, cultures around the world and belief systems can also come into play when Jupiter zooms one of our houses. Though it is possible to overdo things when the planet of expansion and growth is around, it does tend to bring a measure of luck with it, so long as we are doing the work.
Currently, Jupiter is touring through Virgo and when it saunters into the 10th house, those who have been working hard and improving their job related skills are likely to have career doors swing open for them like never before. This “luck” happens due to all of the elbow grease you’ve been putting in. This effort tends to catch the eye of superiors who then do their best to promote your talents to the world. Windfalls can include a promotion, awards, a bigger 401K and happy fat checks. Naturally, all of this comes at the price of increased responsibility, largely because you have proven you can handle more….so be careful what you ask for!
Though “luck” can occur in any profession, those who work in the PR field, broadcasting or that write for a living are highly favored. Teachers, lawyers and spiritual gurus may also bask in this lucky limelight. Again, all of this success is assuming you are on good terms with the boss and that you have been dutifully pumping in the hours.
Because Jupiter can often represent the boss or a teacher in your chart, it is wise to stay on a good footing with those in charge to reap the rewards you desire. If you get too full of yourself and start arguing with the wrong people, Jupiter can actually cause you trouble. The big message here is to not get a big head. Be humble, work hard and do your best to stay out of the fray if you want to succeed.
For some, it will show that you have reached the pinnacle of your career. This can cause a person to turn inward so they can start asking themselves the big question: What next? An expansive job search can then ensue. Likely, at this point, the native will be seeking a new path, one that better enables them to showcase who they are on the inside. Spiritual quests are not uncommon and some people will choose to head in a more soul-filled direction as a result.
Often this occurs when folks are ready to take on a second career. They’ve fulfilled their money obligations and have a platform to stand on. This is when you see people going after humanitarian projects. The money and glitter have lost their sparkle but doing something good for the world starts a rumbling in the soul and that rumbling often becomes a second calling. Some might even call it destiny.
So, if you have Jupiter in the 10th house and you have been diligent and humble, expect the coke bottle that falls out of the sky to swing a career door open for you. If you peer deeply into the bottle, you may also discover that you simply find that what the Gods have really granted you is a sincere feeling of hope and faith for your future…That could also include an opportunity for you to fulfill your true destiny in the world.
