Ever heard the saying that it ain’t over till the fat lady sings? Well there is choir afoot during this full moon in Capricorn and it will surely be singing someone’s song. Full moons reveal things. They herald in endings and bring things to fruition. With this big, bright piece of cream cheese sitting in the industrious sign of Capricorn, perhaps the tune the opera lady is belting out has something to do with structures in your life, boundaries, rules or even your career.

To understand what may be revealed by this lunar event, consider the nature of the house the moon is gliding through. In the 8th house, the boundaries of a relationship might be revealed. In the 7th, it might encourage a love-struck couple to tie the knot and formalize the partnership. If it is parked in your second house, which governs income, you could learn about a raise, land a big job or come to grips with what you truly value. It all depends upon the effort you’ve been putting into the structures of your life. When it comes to effort, Capricorn does not mess around. If you’ve been digging deep and putting in a full-hearted effort, rewards will be paid. On the flip side, if you’ve been slacking off, the fat lady’s song may not be so sweet. As always, we are always in the driver’s seat of our own lives.

The Sabian Symbol for 20 degrees of Capricorn, which is the position of this full moon, means that a choir is quietly singing in the background. Someone may be singing your praises behind closed doors. With music echoing in the background, cause for celebration may be in order. It’s as if a ray of hope is shining a light onto some area of your life where you have been toiling away like a rock tumbler on a jagged stone. Relentless effort does bring reward in time, and since Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, both time and diligence are key factors in achieving success.

Success and failures may thus be revealed. Emotions, however, are not easily expressed by Capricorn energies. Often there can be a blockage in how we feel when Capricorn energy is strong. Duties, goals and doing what is “right” somehow takes precedence over what we want and how we feel. Since the news being revealed can go in either direction, it is important to not beat yourself up if things don’t turn out as you like. Remember, the Universe loves you…and everything happens for a reason. A failure at this point could mean you need to work harder or possibly shift gears. Sometimes the Universe helps you to close one door so you can sail through a more rewarding one later. Since, however, the choir is singing in the background on this one, let’s hope that a hard-earned success will be lighting your path come July 12th and 13th.

Capricorn also rules such things as business, the government and high-ranking officials. News regarding one of these subjects could also be revealed. Leadership changes could be announced or information about banking, rules or big money could be revealed. The term Capitans of Industry comes to mind when I think of Capricorn so we are talking politics, politics, politics. Honors may be awarded but the opposite can also be true. Strict standards are set by Capricorn and to win big you will be expected to toe the line to a T. Cross over that line with your pinky toe, or fall short of expectations, and the big hammer is going to pummel you. Structures in your life may need to change to accommodate what you are learning. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing but it may require that you think through what is important to you in the long run.

Matters are complicated by the fact that this big, fat moon is squaring up to Mars. Squares represent difficult tensions. Energies don’t flow well in a square and there can be a feeling of being blocked. It’s like trying to crush a walnut shell with your bare forehead…very tough to do, not to mention frustrating. This can spark angry emotions if you aren’t getting what you want. Ruthlessness can be unleashed and perhaps an unhealthy bit of competition as you strive to get ahead. Survival instincts surface and you may have a sense that you have been clawing your way to the top, one millimeter at a time. Keep your cool Capricorns, though frustrations could soar at this point, you are noted for your ability to handle turbulent emotions…just don’t hold things in too much. Finding a creative way to release tensions and pent-up feelings is a lot healthier than packing them into the equivalent of an emotional pipe-bomb.

Moon square Mars can also mean you have an internal war raging between what you want (Mars) and what you need (moon). Different parts of your life may be yanking you in different directions, leaving you feeling racked. Choices may need to be made so ponder your options well and remember, you have what it takes to make it no matter what goes down.

Lunar Capricorns are mountains of strength. Safety, security and goals bring them comfort and they are willing to work very hard for them. Excellent organizational and managerial skills are also highlighted for there is a practical earthy feel to this “get-er-done” moon. If the effort is there in spades, you will likely be rewarded for your efforts. It is quite possible that the singing associated with this moon will be a choir of people offering up their praise for all of your hard work, unless of course, Mars interferes. And if that is the case, it might be time to ask yourself if you are on the right path.

Sometimes in life, you have to make a U turn and cut your losses. None of us will know for sure until the fat lady sings this full moon home, come July.
