Everyday I become more aware of how connected we are. We have profound impacts upon each other in our daily lives. Mars in Libra asks us to see through the eyes of those around us to understand why our relationships are the way they are. We are connected to lovers, to childhood friends, to people at work that can send our lives sprawling into good or bad directions. The creatures of the sea help to create the air we breathe and the food we eat. Our most precious pets that we cuddle with under the blankets when the rest of the world seems cold, eat cans of seafood.
Our connection stretches not only between friends and lovers, pets and coworkers but across all artificial boundary lines known to and created by man. What happens to any one of us, happens to all. It doesn’t matter what color you are, who you sleep with or your gender. Nor does it matter where you live. As part of the human race, all of us are absolutely connected. And that connection also extends to planet earth. To our deep-blue, beautiful seas, to the sky overhead dazzling with stars, to the rich topsoil that grows our food.
Boundaries are a fallacy. So when Japan is suffering from nuclear fallout, a poisoned ocean and radioactive waters that are leaking into their aquifers, we all feel their pain. The Fukushima nuclear disaster poses a threat to us all for we are all truly connected on this living, breathing planet. And so I offer up a prayer for all of the people of Japan and the world and I encourage you to do the same.
May this global disaster open our eyes, our hearts and our minds. We need to realize that we are all one being, one big pulsating energy system. So please pray for Japan and the workers who are still trying to stem the radioactive leaks. Pray for the fishes and the micro-flora and fauna. Think kindly of the dolphins who are already paying a hefty price for they swim in our Neptunian waters and these waters are no longer safe for any of us.
Sometimes when I ponder the meaning of the Grand Cardinal Cross and what it means, I come back to the theme of an identity crises. Perhaps it is time that we all quit thinking of me and thou…and instead learn the lesson of we. It may be beckoning us to recognize our true identity which is that of spirit. Whether you realize it or not, we are balanced on a very dangerous precipice right now. The nuclear leak is ongoing and represents an international disaster of proportions we have never seen before.
My heart goes out to all of us. To those of you who are actively working on stemming the tide, thank you most sincerely and may God bless you all.
